It may be difficult for some people to imagine but just a few, short months ago there was NOT one, single, solitary Hudson Leick/Callisto web site on the Internet. My, how things certainly have changed.
Due to the immense popularity of the character, Callisto, (from the series Xena: Warrior Princess) and the very talented acting abilities of the person who portrays her, Hudson Leick, there are now literally dozens of various web sites honoring both, the delightful and fascinating, Hudson Leick, and the ever vengeful, wise-cracking, Callisto, who fans sometimes like to fondly refer to as "The Goddess of Obsession".
Those of us who have followed Hudson's acting career from the beginning, and recognize what a genuinely talented and diverse actress she is, know that it's just a matter of time before the name "Hudson Leick" will become a familiar household name. Who else could have not only portrayed both the sweet, innocent, cherubic, angel Celeste and the slightly maniacal, deliciously evil, warlord Callisto, but also taken on the monumental task of portraying Lucy Lawless as Xena, trapped in Callisto's body, (while Lucy Lawless was recuperating from her unfortunate accident on The Tonight Show) and made them all seem so believable?
Recently, I had the immense pleasure of meeting Hudson for the first time at a convention held in Fairfield, California. (See the article "Hudson At Fairfield Convention" for more info) I can honestly say that I found Hudson Leick to be as beautiful a person inside, as out. She is intelligent, gracious, charming, witty, and above all else warm, friendly and totally unpretentious.
So, it is to you, Hudson, that this Newsletter is dedicated, from all your faithful, devoted and loyal fans who already know that someday soon you will be a HUGE success. We all love you and wish you the very best.
In the coming months we hope that everyone - both "old time" Hudson Leick fans, as well as those people who are just now discovering what an incredible actress, and person, Hudson is - will find the Newsletter insightful, informative and most of all, fun.
If there is something that you think would be of particular interest to other Hudson/Callisto fans, or if you would like to see your Web Site featured in a future Newsletters, please send your ideas and suggestions to me, Debbie, at [fire.ice-sac@worldnet.att.net].
Hudson Leick Is #1!
Once again Hudson Leick's many fans have shown their dedication and support by voting Hudson to the #1 position in StatsMaster's weekly "Hottest Actress of the Web's Top 20" poll, for favorite female movie and tv stars from the past, present and future.
StatsMaster has been running "The Hottest Actress of the Web Top 20" web site for 16 weeks (as of this writing) and Hudson has received more votes than anyone else for 10 of those 16 weeks. Actually, she has been in the #1 position 8 out of the last 9 weeks. Way to go, Hudson! And way to vote, Hudson fans!
Hudson has consistently received enough votes, from week to week, to also propel her into the coveted #1 position on the "All Time Top 10" list, narrowly edging out Lucy Lawless (Xena Warrior Princess) and Renee O'Conner (Gabrielle) among other top contenders.
Here is StatsMaster's "All Time Top 10" list and how many votes each person has received:
#1. Hudson Leick - 354
#2. Lucy Lawless - 323
#3. Renee O'Conner - 207
#4. Vanessa Marcil - 117
#5. Peta Wilson - 103
#6. Jacqueline Collen - 87
#7. Teri Hatcher - 65
#8. Alyssa Milano - 61
#9. Sabrina Lloyd - 48
#10. Gillian Anderson - 45
If you would like to cast your vote for your favorite actress (Hudson, of course) you can visit StatsMaster's "Hottest Actress of the Web" web site at: [http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Set/3048]
Each week's poll runs from 12am Monday morning through 11:59pm Sunday evening. Be sure and vote each and every week to keep Hudson at the top of the list and #1 on the "All Time Top 10".
And if you would like to help move Hudson up to #1 in still other polls, be sure and visit these web sites and cast your ballot, as well.

Vote A LOT and vote often!
Here Comes Trouble...
People magazine recently held their "10 Most Beautiful People" poll and the "Goddess of Obsession's" legion of loyal warriors prepared for battle. To say that the voting was "hot and heavy" would be a gross understatement, let's just say that it was a fight worthy of Callisto and Xena, with all sides bringing out the "heavy artillery".
Now, I'm not going to say that there were any deceitful methods of voting being implemented by any one camp, (is there really such a thing as "deceitful" to a Callistonian? <sniff>) but suffice it to say that one particularly tenacious member of Callisto's loyal army (who shall remain nameless - right, Wesser <grin>) was known to cast thousands of votes, all by himself, for our favorite, fair haired actress in the final hours of the poll.
Well, as you might imagine it was a long, gruesome battle, but once the dust had settled and the ballet boxes had been "unstuffed" - due to the competitive nature of some of the more zealous participants, on all sides - our own dear, Hudson ended up in 7th place, just ahead of Renee O'Conner and Lucy Lawless.
Here are the final results from People magazine's "10 Most Beautiful People" poll:
#1 Adrian Paul 41,295
#2 Larisa Oleynik 36,606
#3 Gillian Anderson 34,300
#4 Claire Danes 31,633
#5 David Duchovny 30,797
#6 Peter Wingfield 29,564
#7 Hudson Leick 29,317
#8 Renee O'Connor 28,470
#9 Lucy Lawless 27,740
#10 Jenny McCarthy 20,864
Just wait until next time.......Callisto's army WILL prevail!
Join The Hudson Leick Mailing List
If you want to be kept up to date on the latest news about Hudson Leick, or participate in discussions about Callisto, or anything pertaining to Hudson, then I highly recommend subscribing to the "Hudson Leick Mailing List" or "Hudson Leick Mailing List Digest".
The Hudson Leick Mailing List is an email based mailing list whose members discuss anything and everything to do with Hudson Leick including, but not limited to, the various characters Hudson has played. In addition, you can't meet a more friendly, fun group of Internet people who never cease to amaze me about some of the things they come up with, from Hudson/Callisto related stories, poems and whimsical fun to their never ending discussions and debates.
Ron Ablang is the "Hudson Leick Mailing List" creator, and Mich is the "Hudson Leick Digest" moderator, and they both do an excellent job of running these lists, as well as contributing and participating in many of the discussions.
If you would like to subscribe to either the "Hudson Leick Mailing List" (all the days messages sent via email as they are posted) or the "Hudson Leick Mailing List Digest (all the days messages compiled into 1 or 2 mail messages sent at midnight, e.s.t., each day) send email to: [majordomo@hera.ecs.csus.edu]. Put the words "subscribe Hudson-Leick" or "subscribe Hudson-Digest" in the body of the message. DON'T put anything else in the message (or else you'll confuse the poor computer) and you can leave the "subject" line blank.
See ya on the "Mailing List"....
Hudson/Callisto Internet Chat Sites
Where can I go to chat with my fellow Hudson/Callisto fans, you might be asking yourself? Well, not to fear, there are plenty of Hudson/Callisto chat sites available.
I will attempt to list the chat sites that I am aware of at this time, plus any special software or restrictions that may apply, but chat sites seem to constantly move and change, so if any of these are no longer available, I apologize ahead of time.
I will be updating this list in each newsletter, so if anyone has any information on new, or out-dated chat sites, please email me so we can try to keep the list as accurate as possible.
Here is the list of chat sites that I am currently aware of:
WBS Chat (WebChat Broadcasting System) at: [http://wbs.net/]
This is one of my favorite chat sites because it requires NO additional software, has NO software restrictions and only takes minutes to register and get online. Unfortunately, there is no permanent Callisto/Hudson chat room available, at this time, (but with enough constant activity this could change) so a new room has to be created each day. Just click on "private rooms", then type in "Callisto_Chat" in the "go to private rooms" box. If someone has already created the room that day (which is usually the case) you will be taken right to it. If you get the message that "no such room exists" you can either "create" a "private Callisto_Chat" room yourself or bop on over to the "Xena_Chat" room and see what's going on over there. I have found all the Xenites to be very friendly to Hudson/Callisto fans and who knows, you may even find a few Hudsonites/Callistonites hanging out there, as well.
The Hudson Leick Admiration Group web site at: [http://www.hudsonleickfan.com/chat.html]
Wesser's awesome Hudson Leick web site also offers, amongst many other things, a chat area for Hudson/Callisto fans that also requires NO additional software. But you MUST HAVE A JAVA ENABLED browser. (for more info about Wesser's *outstanding* web site be sure and read our "Web Site of the Month" article in this newsletter) I believe that Wesser also has certain days and times when people meet at his chat room. For more information please write directly to Wesser at: [wesser@hudsonleickfan.com], I'm sure he will be more than happy to help you out.
Mirc Chat requires that you use Mirc software which can be downloaded from: [http://www.mirc.co.uk/get.html]. Also available from this web site is instructions on how to use Mirc software and a "help" section to get you started.
Once you have installed the Mirc software, there are Hudson/Callisto chat sites available on Dalnet server, channels "#Callisto'sLegion" and "#Callisto", and on the Undernet server go to the "#Callisto" channel.
Again, I believe that there are people that meet on certain days and times at these various channels, although I'm not exactly sure when, so be sure and ask someone when you meet them in chat.
May I suggest one other alternative, to finding out more about the various chat sites, and that is to join another of Ron Ablang's very informative mailing lists called "Hudson-Leick-Chat". This list is for those people who are interested in either finding a chat site or would like to coordinate meeting places and times. To subscribe to this mailing list send email to [majordomo@hera.ecs.csus.edu]. Type the words "Hudson-Leick-Chat" in the body of the message. DON'T type anything else in the body of the message and again, you can leave the "subject" line blank.

I got this from the Hudson-Leick mailing list and thought it was hilarious. I hope that I have given credit to the correct person, but I just had to pass it along. I trust that you will get a kick out of it, too.

Hudson At Fairfield Convention

As I stated earlier in the newsletter, on May 4th of this year I had the extreme pleasure of seeing Ms Hudson Leick in person, and meeting her for the first time, at a convention held in Fairfield, California. Mere words cannot possibly convey what an incredible "presence" Ms Leick has and what a fascinating and delightful person she is. If given the chance, I urge all Hudson fans to make every effort to see her in person (not that anyone wouldn't, but I had to say it anyway) you will not be disappointed. Her charismatic personality and exuberance for life is both infectious and inspiring.
One of the most humorous moments from the convention occurred while Hudson was signing autographs. I asked her if she thought "The Goddess of Obsession" had any regrets? She then looked down at her chest and said, "YES, and they're ALL MINE!" When she looked up at me, she must have seen the confused look on my face because she said, "You asked if I had breasts, right?" "NO", I replied..."REGRETS"! Even though I must have turned five shades of red, everyone had a good laugh.
Hudson was very gracious about answering every question that was asked her. Signed every autograph asked for, which took a considerable amount of time. And posed for numerous pictures with everyone, myself included.
As I said, I cannot explain what it's like to be in the same room with Hudson, but I found her to be vivacious, charming, hilariously funny, honest, campy, down to earth and totally enjoyable. In short, a complete angel...with a "wild" side. [G]
If you would like to read the entire transcript from Hudson's question and answer period, plus view some of the pictures from the Fairfield convention, (yes, my "mug shot" is there, as well...grinning from ear to ear like a Cheshire cat) please visit the Hudson Leick Admiration Group web site at: [http://www.hudsonleickfan.com/].
I will be seeing Hudson again, at the Sacramento Convention on May 31st, so be sure and check out next month's newsletter for a full report. It should be interesting.....<hint...hint>
Oh, Those Wonderful Web Sites
This is where we pay tribute to some of those truly dedicated Hudson Leick/Callisto fans who spend much of their free time, and quite often their own money, to provide the rest of us with many hours of information, entertainment and enjoyment by hosting some truly incredible Hudson Leick/Callisto web sites. We owe these people a huge amount of gratitude for their endless hours of hard work and considerable contributions. "Thank You"!
Starting with this issue of the Hudson Leick newsletter, and in each additional newsletters, we will be featuring these generous people and their awesome web sites. Each web master has provided their own web site information, (except Sturm...He doesn't know I did his) so if you have any questions concerning a particular web site please write directly to the web master that is listed.
In addition to featuring several different web sites per newsletter, we will also pick out one web site to "showcase" as "The Web Site of the Month" and ask the web master of that site a few questions. We want to find out what makes these people "tick", what makes their web sites work and most importantly, how they became a Hudson/Callisto fan. So, read on to find out which web site is this month's "Web Site Of The Month".
If you would like to have your web site featured in a future issue of the Hudson Leick newsletter please email me, Debbie, at: [fire.ice-sac@worldnet.att.net].

Web Master: Sturm [regards@accessone.com]
Home of "Project Callisto", Sturm's web site is the OLDEST and was the very FIRST Callisto/Hudson Leick web site on the Internet. Sturm continues to have one of the best and most informative Hudson/Callisto web sites on the net. If you want to find out where to look for ANYTHING to do with Hudson Leick, from the newest web site to the latest "Hudson News", then be sure and check Sturm's Callisto/Hudson Leick Resource Page.

Web Master: Karen [chakram@juno.com]
My web site offers A Rumor Control Page where people can look up Xena/Callisto news, Contests, a story/fanfiction section and lots and lots of pictures. (Beware when you set the main page for "Load Images!")
Karen is also the creator of the one and only Hudson Leick Internet Birthday Card! There is a link from Karen's web site to Wesser's, who is currently hosting it at: [http:/www.hudsonleickfan.com/happybirthdayhudson].
"I also like people who sign my guestbook. : )"
Callisto's Tales
[http://www.mnsi.net/~tower/callistopage.htm]
Web Master: Tower [tower@mnsi.net]
My site contains poems, comical write-ups and most of all stories from a lot of excellent writers and I would like to thank them all for their fine work. Considering we won't be seeing Hudson back for a few more months I hope my site can offer a quick fix for those of us (I'm assuming many of us) suffering from Callisto withdrawal syndrome.
Being a major Hudson fan for her TV character Callisto I decided to make my own site but what? There were dozen sites (at that time but must be nearly a million by now) with sounds, pics and everything else except for fan fiction. So I went ahead to develop one, I wrote Callisto's Wish an interactive story as it's first major piece. To my surprise it went over well but I had a few complains about the swearing in it. At first it was a fun project that took on a life of its own. I was thinking maybe I'll collect a couple of stories and poems and that's it. Then a fellow that goes by the name of Galloway contacted me offering his story to be posted on my site. That got the ball rolling that's still going strong. Currently my site is about to pass the two meg mark. I like to add pics to the stories which I feel help enhance a story but it's hard to find one that fits sometimes. Also adding pics really takes up hard drive space for all the pics that I'm using for the stories and poems. I'm proud of my site and I like to thank all the writers again. I can ask the person who is reading this if you have read any article on my site if you enjoy it please let the writer of that work know. They all deserve it. If you can't contact them, then give it to me and I'll pass it on. One thing that surprised me was how many stories that took place after the lava bath that Callisto received in A Necessary Evil. I guess we're all hoping to see Callisto back soon. Thank you!
Hudson Leick Video Exchange
[http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Set/7006]
Web Master: Kevin Saput [TheSlayer@webtv.net]
The HUDSON LEICK VIDEO EXCHANGE offers those Hudson fans a chance to obtain her past works on video, magazine, etc. (Note: Kevin has a great selection...If you're looking for episodes of anything that Hudson has appeared in, or any Hudson related magazine articles, I highly recommend checking here, first).
Callisto at CP
[http://www.dcn.davis.ca.us/~horus/syco/drunk.htm]
(Note on the name since no one seems to know anything about it, The CP is a handle I use to use back when I was a sysop, when I started setting up pages I just called the page CP, since then all the pages I added got that at the end of it, but I have strayed lately)
Web Master: Ryan House - "Trouz" [horus@dcn.davis.ca.us]
My site covers the basics of most of the Hudson/Callisto pages, a bio, filmography, big write up on Callisto, those don't vary much except that they match my graphics scheme. Some of the unique stuff I have are the User Post section (a page that lets people post a comment on Hudson/Callisto and add graphics to it if they want) another post page for quotes, the two fan pages, one is a page full of links and info on all the clubs, mailing lists, voting places, and other fan stuff, and the other is a support page I made to help out with the mailing campaigns. I also have a episode guide for all the Callisto episodes for Xena.

The Hudson Leick Admiration Group
[http://www.hudsonleickfan.com]
Web Masters: Wesser (Wesley Reiser) and Shaddy (Bret Dedmore)
<wesser@hudsonleickfan.com>
<shaddy@hudsonleickfan.com>
(Written by: Wesser)
The Hudson Leick Admiration Group, which is run by Wesser (wesser@hudsonleickfan.com) and Shaddy (shaddy@hudsonleickfan.com) is dedicated to the beautiful and extremely talented actress Hudson Leick.
The Hudson Leick Admiration Group was first publicly opened in early February 1997 with a few photo galleries, a couple voting booths, and some other small stuff. The site rapidly grew into what some people called "One of the better Hudson related sites" (although we feel all sites are equally great just for their cause). After a few months of updates to the page, we realized the resources we were offering and updating were quickly reaching our 20 megabyte limit on the server we were using at that time, so we had to make a change.
On April 29th 1997, the new Hudson Leick Admiration Group with a brand new interface and tons more features was opened with its own domain [http://www.hudsonleickfan.com]. The site now (as of this typing) has over 250 megabytes of resources ranging from screen captures from Hudson's film appearances, to sound clips from Hudson's film appearances, to movie clips, and more. Each gallery is conveniently organized separately with many options for a wide range of visitors ranging from multiple file formats such as GIF and JPG formats for the images, 11.025 and 22.050 khz formats for the sound clips for sound quality selection and quicker downloads, and special "Real Audio" support so you can listen to sounds online without having to download them. Also "Real Video" support is coming very soon which will allow you to watch video clips online without having to download for hours on end just to see 1 minute of video. Now you will have about a 30 second download to watch the same footage that would take you near an hour to download.
To get off of the technical topic, the Hudson Leick Admiration Group also has a convenient and nifty voting booth area where you can vote on such topics such as "Should Callisto be reformed?" and "What do you think of Callisto becoming a goddess?". The voting booths area is a great way to make yourself heard and also to interact and make a difference in the Hudson Leick Admiration Group. If there is something you would like voted on you can also create your own voting booth area for people to vote.
To keep things as short as possible, we also have a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section where will post the answers to many of the questions people often ask regarding Mrs. Leick, we also have an articles section where you can read up on some of the articles Hudson has been featured in as well as other types of Hudson and/or Callisto related articles. The page is very up to date on its content, when Hudson makes an appearance somewhere such as a convention to sign autographs and answer questions, we try to get you images and information as quickly as possible to soothe your Hudson needs. :) There are also many other features of the Hudson Leick Admiration Group that we just don't have the time to list here, but we can say that the site is forever changing and specials will pop up all the time. We recently finished up a special signing of Hudson's birthday card which we sent to her (and hopefully she got it) and received a huge response from that with over 200 signatures. And we'll do more specials like that in the future so visit the site often to keep up to date on special happenings and other Hudson related stuff.
Lastly, we would like to leave you with a special note. Another very active Hudson fan (Mich) and myself have been talking for a couple months now about the current state of the Hudson Leick Fan Club web site. Many Hudson fans including myself believe that the Hudson Leick Fan Club should give its members more dedication and commitment, as well as being more timely on its updates and information, than what is currently being done by the "Official" Fan Club web site. If you are reading this, you probably agree that Hudson Leick is the most versatile, brilliant, and amazing actress to ever show up on your screen, and we at the Hudson Leick Admiration Group feel that she deserves more from her Fan Club. This is not intended to bash the current operator of the Fan Club, (we all know Matt is a very dedicated fan to Hudson) but for whatever reason, he has proven to be unable to offer what a lasting fan club needs to gain new fans and keep current fans informed of the current happenings. In this sense, we plan on proposing something to the fan base for Hudson Leick. We would like to convert the current Hudson Leick Admiration Group into the new Hudson Leick Fan Club web site. If you, the fans, choose the www.hudsonleickfan.com domain to host the new Fan Club web site we will hopefully be having Sturm (if he agrees) become the "new member handler" who will keep the members listing up to date as well as organizing a maintenance team to handle different sections of the site as to keep all of the sections regularly updated and keep you, the fans, updated with the current information and resources as they become available. More information on this topic will be available soon, I would explain more details of what we will be offering should we become the new Fan Club web site, but I have to cut this short, it is already a lengthy description of the site that was originally supposed to be a short one. :) If you would like more information about what our plans are for the new Fan Club should you choose us, please contact Mich at "vashonny@berkshire.net" or Wesser at "wesser@hudsonleickfan.com" and we'll fill you in on the details or direct you to an archive where you can get more information.
On behalf of the Hudson Leick Admiration Group (and hopefully the future Fan Club), I (Wesser) would like to thank everyone mainly for supporting Hudson Leick who I believe is the best and most beautiful actress of all time. I would also like to thank everyone for visiting the site and making it what it is today and what it will be tomorrow. Shaddy and myself couldn't have continued our dedication (as much as we have, anyway, hehe) without everyone's support. We will continue to try to keep everyone updated on current news regarding Hudson Leick, her career, and her future, and keep you freshly updated with any new images, sounds, movies, and anything else we can get for you as often as we can. We are growing with you and we are hoping to bring Hudson many more fans in the future. Thank you all and thank you Hudson, for giving us all something special, your existence. :)

Debbie (1st Fire): How did you first discover Hudson Leick and what compelled you to start a Hudson Leick/Callisto Web Site?
Wesser: I remember oddly that I was actually on the Internet the day after "Callisto" first aired searching for Callisto and Hudson Leick in the search engines with no luck. That's when I started to write the "Hudson Leick Fan Club", which was my own version of a fan club for what I thought was an actress that just wasn't really anyone. Then, I never got around to actually uploading and opening my Fan Club site and the Hudson thing kind of faded when I couldn't find anything out about Hudson (I wasn't really a Xena fan then either, I caught the show by accident and it was the episode before Callisto where Xena got shot with the poison dart, the previews got me addicted to the screen for the next week when I saw Hudson's face). Anyway, after that, it was by a VERY strange accident that I saw the word "Xena" in one of the newsgroups I used to visit very often, and the group had nothing to do with Xena, someone just mentioned the word for some stupid reason that I don't remember. But anyway, after that, I thought about Xena and remembered that it was a pretty cool show that I just never had time to stick with watching. That week I figured I'd watch it again just to see how it had changed. It was just after Lucy's accident if I recall and TLW had been aired a few weeks before (I didn't know Callisto ever came back at that time). So I went online again and searched for Xena. I went to Logomancy's page and saw a listing for Return of Callisto. After running around my house screaming for joy, I came back upstairs and found out all about the new episodes, and found out she was in Intimate Stranger and Ten Little Warlords. Then I searched on Yahoo for Hudson Leick and found the resource page with more Hudson links. Just before I was going to open my Fan Club page finally, I found Mich's. That's when I had no other choice but to choose a different name for my site. That's how the Hudson Leick Admiration Group was born and that's why it works like a Fan Club would, allowing people to "Join" it, and to do other things that a fan club should such as voting. Since then I have been doing everything I can to just fill my brain with Hudson stuff. I want to learn everything about her and I want to do more and more to help her career advance in some way. I just want to do more. That's when I got in contact with Shaddy and we started talking about how it would be nice to have our own domain and everything dedicated to Hudson. So that was about three months ago and everything just worked. Within about two weeks of exchanging e-mail, we had the domain registered, that quick, like it was fate. Of course, our hopes were really high about this and they still are, and right after Shaddy and I got the domain registered, me and Mich started discussing the Fan Club, and here we are. :) That's basically my story.
Debbie (1st Fire): What was your favorite Hudson performance and why?
Wesser: My favorite Hudson performance at full length would definitely be the "A Necessary Evil" episode of Xena. I don't really know exactly what it is about that episode other then the writers giving Callisto more of a 3d feel and made her more of a battered human in a lot of pain rather then a sicko, psycho, killing everyone when their back is turned warrior. I think that Hudson just generally did an awesome job performing the powerful emotions during this episode and she really made Callisto look more like a person with feelings, but without taking away from the fact that she still hates Xena and she is still pretty much a psycho. Excellent acting on Hudson's part, the best I've ever seen by any actress without any doubt.
My favorite single scene (other then every scene from A Necessary Evil) was from Return Of Callisto. The opening scene where she picks that lock and the way she just gives those facial expressions is locked in my head. She expresses the feelings and emotions of the character so well that you actually begin to believe that it is really Callisto doing the part and not Hudson. That fight scene that followed was also very well coordinated, and Hudson looked like she was really hurting those other people, it was also another excellent example of her putting the emotions into the character, I thought she actually hated the other actors in that scene, hehehe. :)
Debbie (1st Fire): If you could ask Hudson just one question, what would it be?
Wesser: Hmmm, very good question. This is actually a hard one because there are so many questions I'd like to ask Hudson. I think if I only had time for one question I would most-likely ask her how she feels about the dedication of her fans on the Internet not to mention the fans that don't have access to the Internet. I know that she has expressed how overwhelmed she is about the fact that she is not a huge big time movie star, yet she still has a large fan base. But I suppose I would really like to know her general feelings AFTER she checks out the devoted web pages, the cooperation of her fans on the mailing list, and the commitment her fans have to gaining new fans for her and doing what they can to further her career. That probably would be my one question if I had one. If I had a second I would probably ask what her favorite performance has been so far on any show or movie.
Debbie (1st Fire): If you could ask Callisto just one question, what would it be?
Wesser: Hmmm, Callisto. Well, if she gave me the chance to ask her a question before slitting my throat <grin>, I would most-likely ask her either what she would do with her life after killing Xena, or why she chose the outfit she wears. I would like to know why she would leave her stomach exposed with no protection. Of course, we all know why, but if I were asking Callisto a question that would mean she is real and some producers didn't choose her skimpy outfit for her. :) Hmmm, I hope that is the correct response. I think I hear Callisto running down my street screaming, I better stop! :)
Debbie (1st Fire): Besides the Internet, of course, what are some of your hobbies and interests?
Wesser: Basically, when I have free time and am not using it on the Internet, I like to spend time with my family going out to a movie or dinner or something. My family is very much my priority in my life and I spend as much time with them as I can (although its not quite enough). I enjoy doing real-life (non computer) activities such as weight lifting and playing baseball when I get free time. I also love fishing and 4-wheeler riding although I don't get to do those very often. I am basically a self-type person. I like to keep to myself a lot, but I love people, and I especially love kids. I must say that most of my free time is spent on the Internet though and its not very healthy. I don't have many other things in my life and most of my friends are on the Internet. I am still hoping for a hobby that will give me a good reason to spend less time on the Internet, but it hasn't arrived yet.
Debbie (1st Fire): Again, besides the obvious (anything that has Hudson in it), what are your favorite tv shows?
Wesser: Actually I an not a really big Xena fan. I enjoy the show and watch the new episodes when they are on as much as I can. But my favorite show without a doubt is "Sliders" which was recently canceled by FOX I believe. I LOVE Science Fiction books and movies as well as television shows and Sliders was icing on the cake. I don't really watch much TV though as I am usually not interested in half the crap they have on these days. I enjoy intellectual type shows that make you think and use your head (like Sliders), the shows with half naked woman that are screwing each other's neighbors every week doesn't interest me and that's almost what all the shows are. I do enjoy comedy though when I can find it such as "Home Improvement" and "Seinfeld". I LOVE Sci-Fi movies such as "Jurassic Park" and "Back To The Future", and I really enjoy seeing some good special effects.
Debbie (1st Fire): And your favorite kind of music/musical artists?
Wesser: My favorite kind of music without a doubt would be any type of slow modern rock kinda music (R&B). Any type of slow music really. I enjoy something that can relax you. But other then that I really enjoy female singers generally more then male singers because they tend to be more expressful and passionate in their music and that's something I really find cool. I really like alternative rock and modern rock (are they two different types of music?) a lot as well. Some of my favorite artists/bands would be "Alanis Morissette", "No Doubt", "Poe", "Tracy Bonham", Joan Osborne", "Sheryl Crow", and "Veruca Salt". I also enjoy "Bush", "Cake", "Metallica", and "Hanson" just to name a few of the male singers/bands. :) I am very open to many kinds of different music though. I think there is something from every music category I can listen to and enjoy.
Well, that's it for this newsletter, I hope you enjoyed it. Be sure and and read next month's newsletter which will include information about Hudson at the Sacramento convention, (which I will be attending and bringing back some surprises <sly grin>) more Hudson Leick Internet news and of course, more of those wonderful web sites.
Until then...Be well,
Debbie (1st Fire)
